Ok guys this a kind of random post but I wanted to share this with you. I was walking around my neiborhood the other day and I found this little box full of books!
After looking at it I realized that it is a book exchange for the neiborhood! So I went back home, grabbed some books it didn’t like and came to exchange them.
After that I picked out two books that looked interesting.
This was about 2 weeks ago, I checked my mailbox again today and found almost a whole different batch of books inside. I also saw another book mailbox in another neiborhood next to mine. I’m planning to check this every week and I would like to know if you guys would like to see a weekly update of the mailbox? Or maybe a book haul at the end of the month?Let me know! I believe the library started this, maybe you could go to your library and see if they would start one.

Tiny libraries are amazing. We have at least one in my Chicago neighboorhood. Screw you, eReaders. You are bereft of magic.

That’s such an awesome way of getting rid of books and gaining some that you really want to read. Wish if something like that existed over here but I bet the poor books would just become stiff or have their covers fade away because of the heat over here.

myself and a friend have asked for a bookshelf to be placed in a common room on our university campus, there are about 5 of us who have said we will start the book swap. I will let you know of any news 🙂 thanks for the idea!
