Wolf by Wolf by Ryan Graudin

I gave this book 4.5/ 5 stars.

I was really excited going into this book because of all the great things I have heard about it. I was not disappointed at all. I was hooked into these characters and storyline the whole time I was reading. This book focused on the point that humans are complex people who are hard to understand. Our main character grows as she learns this and also learn about who she is as a person. While we did learn about her and her past I feel as if I didn’t learn that much about the other characters. They didn’t seem to develop at all, however there is a second book so Ryan may be waiting to talk about them later. There was so much suspense through out the plot line of this story. I did feel as if the actual racing parts, which didn’t include sabotage and all that good stuff, dragged on a bit but that may be just because I really wanted to know what would happen at the end. Speaking of the end. The best twist I think I have ever read. I never even thought about that. I am not going to spoil it for you but I am just amazed. While this book was amazing, something is missing, but I don’t know what. Have you ever just felt like something is missing while reading a book? If not it is so aggravating. But even with that I really love this book. I would recommend it to anyone who is interested in adventure/ historical fiction type novels.
