Hello Bookends, it’s Wednesday so you know what that means! Another Top 5. This is a weekly meme created by Gingerreadslainey and you can find out all the information on the goodreads page. This week we are discussing our top 5 bad asses. When picking these people out I was thinking about their bravery, their actions, and the reason for those actions. To see a summery of the book that each character comes from click on the book title.
5. Theresa Maria- The Musician’s Daughter
Through out this book Theresa is on a mission and she will do whatever it takes to help her father. The thing that really makes her a bad ass though is the fact that she is only fifteen yet is able to think about more than just herself.
4. Sophia Bellamy- Rook
Sophia is not only risking her life in this book but she does it to save the lives of other people. She is selfless and even volunteers to kill herself to save thousands. This is what makes her a bad ass.
3. Feyre- A Court of Thorns and Roses
Feyre is the man of her family. She hunts food for them and uses the animals’ fur to provide money for them. When she is away from them she worries about them and she even worries about the person she considers as a captor. She even faces off against people who are way more powerful than she is.
2. Alaska Young- Looking for Alaska
Alaska is on this list for a different. She is a normal teenage girl who is attending a boarding school but she is different. Sure she smokes and skips class but those things don’t make someone a bad ass. She is intelligent and doesn’t care what anyone thinks.
- Lisabeth Slanders- The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo
Now it is hard to explain Lisabeth’s bad assery with out spoiking the book so I will just say this. Lisabeth has been through a lot of crazy things in her life yet she is still surviving. The things she does may seem crazy but they all apply to her moral code. She seeks justice, and will stop at nothing to get it.
So that is all I have for this week’s top 5. Tell me if you agree or disagree. Who am I missing? I would love to know. Thank you all for reading and please follow me on goodreads and Instagram to see what I am reading daily. Thanks.
