Scarlet by Marissa Meyer

I gave this book 4/5 stars.

This is the second book in a series, to make a small summery of the series I will only say that these are fairy tale retellings with a science fiction twist which is executed very well. I really love this series and am going to try and make this review as spoiler free as possible but I suggest reading a summery of the fist book if you haven’t already. First off I love the format of this book. There are multiple perspective between many main characters. All of these characters had extremely different personalities, it was impossible to tell that these were written by the same person. I was guessing and guessing and kept getting things wrong because this book had a lot of twists in it, things keep unfolding in a brilliant way. The character development was also really well done and a necessity in this book. I did feel, however, that one of the intelligent, thoughtful characters was making irrational and just plain dumb decisions towards the end of the book. Overall I loved this book because it’s wonderful developments and would recommend it to anyone who is into science fiction or fairy tail retellings. The sentence I am going to conclude this review with is: I need to read the next one.

You can find a summery of this book here on goodreads.

You can also purchase this book on amazon or book depository.

You can also friend me on goodreads to see what I am readin daily.

Thanks for reading.

Ohmygoodness! I love the Lunar Chronicles so much! Cress was my favorite, and I still need to read Winter, but Scarlet was really good too!
